What we do:
USAID designs and finances activities that strengthen the government of Ethiopia’s capacity to prevent, detect and respond to emerging infectious diseases of pandemic potential. USAID currently finances eight activities [Core Group Polio, PSM Emergency Supply Chain, Infectious Disease Detection and Surveillance (IDDS), One Health Workforce-Next Generation, HRH2030, Communications for Health, FAO, MTaPS]. These activities work collaboratively with the Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Health, including EPHI, and Ethiopian Wildlife Conservation Authority, in 10 GHSA action packages, to improve multisectoral collaboration and strengthen public health and animal health systems.
