GHSC-PSM in Ethiopia also works to improve pharmacy services through policy, legislative, and operational-level interventions to ensure the appropriate use of medicines, transparency, and accountability in pharmaceutical management at the health facility.

What we do:
GHSC-PSM) project in Ethiopia seeks to ensure the uninterrupted supply and availability of high-quality health commodities. The project provides an array of services for commodity procurement, supply, and systems strengthening technical assistance in four health areas: HIV/AIDS; malaria; family planning and reproductive health (FP/RH); and maternal, newborn, and child health (MNCH). In line with these services, the project supports the Ethiopian Public Health Institute/Public Health Emergency Management and the Ethiopian Pharmaceutical Supply Agency to establish an agile emergency supply chain system with a focus on determining ESC governance, commodity planning, and supply chain logistics. The project aims to support the establishment of national and regional ESC structures and plans to build the capacity of responsible staff at relevant levels of the supply chain.
